Earth Day: sustainability and organic farming together with CLAR

On the occasion of Earth Day, the Terreno Fertile (Fertile Earth) meeting was held yesterday in Piticchio di Arcevia (AN), promoted by CLAR ETS, in collaboration with the La Terra e il Cielo cooperative, a historical reality of Italian organic agriculture. Bruno Sebastianelli, president of the cooperative La Terra e il Cielo, opened the proceedings by recalling the long battle fought in over forty years to affirm good organic farming on national and foreign markets, i.e., production and processing that not only have to defend the fertility of its soil and provide healthy food, but also ensure, against all speculation, Continua…

“Fertile Soil”, Clar celebrates Earth Day 2023

Earth Day, which this year falls on 22 April, is an event that originated in 1970 and has become global since 1990, now involving more than 190 countries. This is the result of the sudden kindling, in the leading country of contemporary industrial development, the United States of America, of an environmental awareness, which had already found a fundamental and poetic expression in 1962 in Rachel Carson‘s book, Silent Spring, an essay that is still worth reading. The American politician Gaylord Nelson, Democratic Congressman from Wisconsin, in the climate of contestation of the American political, economic and social model, due Continua…

Planet Friendly Schools Goes on Successfully

The Erasmus Plus Planet Friendly Schools project, of which CLAR is the sole Italian partner, is successfully continuing on its path, which not even the pandemic was able to stop. The first year, coinciding precisely with the pandemic, was mainly devoted to the construction and structuring of its own multilingual platform, which collects and presents 81 of the best sustainability education practices implemented by and for European schools. Today it is already active and presents, in the nine languages of the partnership, this careful selection of experiences that teachers, schools and organisations interested in environmental issues can now freely consult, Continua…

WATERSCHOOL initiative could improve children’s health as well as reduce plastic pollution

(Ljubljana, March 23, 2020) The Erasmus+ project WATERSCHOOL promotes drinking of tap water at school through a European Initiative. Drinking tap water regularly at school could improve children’s health, increases concentration, and thus improves performance, and helps reduce plastic waste. To celebrate the UN Water Day the WATERSCHOOL project partners today start an EU wide campaign to raise awareness about the importance of proper hydration at schools. „We encourage schools all over Europe to become Waterschools and help improve children’s health as well as the health of the environment by supporting drinking tap water at schools“, says Rosemarie Zehetgruber from Continua…

EREC GUIDELINES for VIVET Content Creators and Users

The Erasmus Plus Vivet project team completed the Guidelines for instructors, teachers and platform operators, following a quality procedure called EREC (Electronic Resources Evaluation Criteria). We therefore have the pleasure of making this four-part document available to all VIVET users. EREC includes the following parts: the methodology followed for the design of the contents and the didactic paths adopted in the construction of the VIVET training courses; a comparative survey on the state of the art of the criteria adopted for the evaluation of the quality of open educational content in electronic format: the description of the criteria adopted by Continua…

Seminar about Labour, Competencies and Vocational Training by Clar

The issue of work and employment remains crucial for the future of our country and the skills required by the labor market are increasingly complex and specific, also creating problems of mismatching between demand and supply. The employment situation is even more critical in the groups with low school attendance: if, in fact, in the 28 countries of the European Union, the average percentage of people employed among those with primary education is 53.5%, in Italy it is only 47.8%. The continuous training of employed workers still reaches very low percentages, among the lowest in Europe, in Italy.   Strategic Continua…
